I wanted to take a minute and post some of this information again.
As this site has been growing and growing and more and more stuff being added all the time some people have said they went to the site and wasn’t sure what to do to help out.
Here is a break down of what you or your company can do to Help Save My Life.
1) Get involved
First and foremost, become a member of
Help Save My Life Foundation
Once signed up as a member of Help Save My Life Foundation, please spread the word to all of your contacts in your email, facebook, likedin, digg or whatever social media you use on a regular basis.
We understand times are tough on everyone right now and if you cannot donate, someone you know may be willing to make a donation or volunteer to help save a life.
Secondly
Become a volunteer fundraising member. This volunteers can donate any amount of time at all, we have no set time requirements for our volunteers.
As a volunteer fundraising members you will be assigned a fundraising event to assist with. You can assist with any event we host, but we would like for you to assist with at least one fundraising event per year.
Promote, Promote, Promote
Volunteer members will be expected to promote our sites

Like I said before even if you cannot personally donate time or money, someone you know probably can so please once signed up help us spread the word about our sites.

Not in the Orlando/Kissimmee area but still want to help,
we want you as a member.
If you are not in the Orlando/Kissimmee, Florida area you can still becoming a volunteer fundraising member.
However, out of area volunteer fundraising members will have to assume responsibility to organize, promote and host the event. Of course we will provide all the help we can from Florida so you will not be alone trying to set up fundraisers. We can also cover any and all cost for the event. We will set up and manage a web site for your fundraiser.
On a side note, no one is authorized to personally host a fundraising event without approval.
We have had people collect money in the name of Help Save My Life Foundation and we never received and payment from the fundraiser. So all fundraisers MUST be approved before taking place.
If you cannot volunteer to help with fundraisers,
please attend our events.
Our fundraising events will be taking place to help raise money for transplant patients. Any event you attend can Help Save A Life.
Of course any volunteer fundraising member will have free access to the events and other members will have to cover their own expenses to attend the event.
One of the most important issue's at hand is getting new members into our network. The more members we have the more it will reduce the workload on everyone and as a large group we can accomplish more and Help Save More Lives.
Last but never least, PRAY.
I truly believe in the power of prayer and there are millions that could benefit from prayer. So please take a minute in your day and ask God to put his hand on the shoulder of a kidney disease patient and help guide them through these tough times.
There are 26 million American Adults with Chronic Kidney Disease and it has been estimated that another million have a Chronic Kidney Disease and haven't been diagnosed.
I personally believe that the prayers made my transplant so successful and the continued prayers are the reason for the awesome outcome to date.

The Facts About Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
- 26 million American adults have CKD and millions of others are at increased risk.
- Early detection can help prevent the progression of kidney disease to kidney failure.
- Heart disease is the major cause of death for all people with CKD.
- Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is the best estimate of kidney function.
- Hypertension causes CKD and CKD causes hypertension.
- Persistent proteinuria (protein in the urine) means CKD is present.
- High risk groups include those with diabetes, hypertension and family history of kidney disease.
- African Americans, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders, Native Americans and Seniors are at increased risk.
- Three simple tests can detect CKD: blood pressure, urine albumin and serum creatinine.
