Just a little information about the people waiting for a transplant and the transplants done
Per http://www.unos.org/ there are
110,138 people on a waiting list for a transplant
72,535 people on an active waiting list
The number of transplants done from Jan - Sept 2010 was 21,648
The number of living donors from Jan - Sept 2010 was 10,940

If I can remember a qoute correctly, "Don't take your organs to heaven, God knows we need them on earth"
I think that is the right wording for that quote.. It is very true regardless of the wording. Please get involved.
Looking at these numbers I have to wonder how many transplants are on financial hold just like my transplant is right now....
