Salvation Army

The Salvation Army has been one group I have always donated to when they needed funds for whatever fund raiser they were working on. As of now and they way they handled my case, I will never donate to them again.

First this has taken place for a period of months.

I first applied and was told that they would be able to help and they were waiting the social workers to review my case.

At some point, with no notification to me, they decided not to provide any assistance.

Still to this day they will no provide an explanation of why they said they would approve my application and then deny it with no explanation.

Then 5 months into me begging for assistance from them they tell me they closed the program and there was no funds available.

However, 3 weeks after they told me that, the office manager at my apartment complex
said they just paid someone elses rent.

So of course I called them back and they said the program was not closed, they just had no funds at the moment but was expecting more money soon.

However, my application was still in the denied file and again with no explanation.

These folks have lied to me time and time again, said they would help and have left me hanging.

Of course the manager of the apartment complex thinks I'm making this stuff up as I go along because of the lies I have been told

During the course of time of dealing with the Salvation Army I started to suffer anxiety attacks and went through periods of major depression.

I had to start a new medication to get the depression under control and a lot of this I blame on the Salvation Army since they continouly lied to me and said they would help and then deny me and not even take the time to tell me that they denied my application.
