The transplant center called today to remind me I was still on financial hold. That was nice of them…LOL… But….
I guess there has been some changes in the coverage I have right now and it looks like I might get the Medicaid back to help pay for the medication post transplant. If this does happen, then the monthly medication cost will reduce again.
However, I will still be responsible for the medical insurance from the day of the transplant on. I was advised once again that currently Medicare would pay 80% and I would be responsible for the other 20% and once I get Cobra, they may cover part of the 20% for me, but they reminded me I still needed to have enough money in an account to proceed with my transplant.
So the fund raisers are very important and I need your help with the fund raisers.
I know times are tough every where right now and not just with me, but if there is anyway possible, please try to attend at least 1 of the fund raisers and Help Save My Life.
